Take a second to think about what you received for Christmas last year. Can you remember everything? Anything? Now think about how many gifts you purchased off the cuff, last-minute, for people in your office or extended family (or close family . . . this may or may not be me). Instead of getting something that no one ever would use, give rational gifts and your gifts will be as sought after as same-day shipping on Christmas Eve.
As we round out our Holiday season, here are five gifts that are guaranteed to save people money in the new year:
- Amazon Prime Membership. Yep, I said it. You are probably surfing Amazon to pick up some last-minute gifts. Give that person the gift that keeps on giving. Free Amazon streaming, two-day shipping, Black Friday specials (this might actually cost them money . . .no one is perfect).
- A subscription box like Stitch Fix, Birchbox, Lootcrate, Mancrates (these include crowbars to open the crates). These are usually under $100.00 and are fairly unique and thoughtful.
- Diapers. Yep, those with babies or expecting babies (this includes us) could very well use a new supply of diapers.
- Instant Pot with ingredients for a meal or two. This is the top rated cooker of 2017 and it is under $80.00. With the added two meals (usually under $10), this gift will give the recipient an idea for dinner for the next few nights.
- Moviepass Subscription. $9.95 per year for any movie in any Theater. This deal will not last.
